New idea for our next contract: interest on late pay. The greater of the current rate of inflation or the one year Treasury Bill rate compounded daily from the paycheck it was due on until it's paid out.

That rate is way too low. If Delta needs a loan, then they need to pay pawnshop rates 29.99%

Does unplugging the phones during an IROP, letting open time snowball, and then getting your co-workers offered double/triple overtime to put out the fire, fit the definition of racketeering? Asking for a friend.

Nope. They can in pay the Delta CC interest rate.

For people with a 400 credit score. Not 800

She realizes to use 1 PB day to drop a 4-day trip requires all four days to have + coverage in order to drop it, right? It's not about staffing. They just like PB days paying 4:35 max. Be honest.
Ok, mgmt clowns have a lot to answer for but you don't have to lie. Almost every category where guys are (were) PB day washing lacks the numbers to drop the trip per the formula. Isn't that what a lot of our complaints are all about?

PB day washing could not occur without the Swap Board and having senior buddies who could WS the trip you are trying to drop with PB days...which would otherwise be denied due to staffing in most cases.

The complaint from the flight ops email (unsigned because they were too scared to sign it) informing us after the fact that banked payback days were no longer a thing specifically said dropping trips with PB days was "resulting in unnecessary churn for both Crew Scheduling and the operation." Which we all know is patently false because, as you said, it goes on another pilot's schedule, not into open time. The trip is never uncovered. So they're finally admitting this is all about money.

I see your point to an extent, but the formula is also now heavily influenced by them maintaining a chronically understaffed position. Also, the pre-posting of rest has a huge impact on PB day usage.
