Correct. DH and his cronies had absolutely no idea what they were doing.

I was referring to SK and a few others — at the time of signing of the original ARCOS LOA (20-04), not the batch giveaway.

ARCOS isn’t the problem. It makes life easy. I can view all trips in detail and decide. Instead of having a person call, answer, describe the trip and get assigned.

I want batch sizes back though, in some form. No one wants to be number 60+ in line for a callout.

I like Auto Accept in the sense people flying, sim or whatever need a way to get a trip. But wouldn’t mind seeing It go the way of quickslips. Being only 1 window. Either accept and fly It and decline. Same for auto accept- if it’s accepted, fly It.
But there needs some program changes (toggle on/off, if chosen with auto accept with TC pulled to verify the pilot currently has auto accept on since there can be delays and pilot can change mind, and way to transfer slips month to month on icrew.

Regardless, if we go to single windows (including QS) we should increase the time from 12 to more like 20 minutes. Still allows the process to be completely in a timely manner but it gives pilots more time to sort/plan/check commutes/etc, especially when there are a large number of trips in the offering.

So you claim that it is 100% "their" fault that an ATL 320A/B has OOBWS for every other 320 base in the system...all with Auto [accept] on...and never, ever [acknowledging] or actively declining...just letting it sit there, tick, tick, tick, so that eventually the company has to halt the coverage process and make a 23.M.7 payment and go to QS?

No matter how many pilots we hire and train, and no matter how many more schedulers we recruit and train, as long the pilot masses can do this, trip coverage will be a mess.

For starters, put in base GS ahead of OOBWS and most of the issues are solved right there.

It was always a "proffer" on the premium side. (1) You didn't have to answer the first call (check sked, see if it was acceptable and then call back) and (2) there was always childcare issues, adult beverage consumption or out of position to kick the trip. However, I believe the WS outside of 24 hours was an automatic award.

Point of order. Accepting a trip is the step prior to acknowledging a trip. When you acknowledge, the trip is yours.

I'm not disputing that. We all could recite company buffoonery from now until forever, and we would be right! But, we have to better than all this, and be the professionals we claim to be. Auto Accept is absolutely there for a good reason, and I myself have used it a few times. But, you know what I don't do? I don't mass blast OOBWS for every 330 base in the system, select AA, and then ignore the calls, just so some other 330A, somewhere, might get a 23.M.7 payment, and claim (with a straight face) that he was a "harmed" pilot.

Probably operator error but I couldn't figure out how to edit my prior post. You all get the idea. Auto ACCEPT vs Auto Acknowledge...
