Actually the last time was on 2022 to look at 737’s in India. Flew them to AMS to connect. They were not the Lion air planes.

Dude. Touch grass, pet a dog, do yoga, meditate or just inhale a pint of Hagen Daas….whatever. Probably not healthy to carry around that much bloated opinion over nothing.

Someone told me that Delta ended up spending way more money than originally planned to get the Temu 737s “up to standard” then it took years of write ups and flaps falling off (RDU) to finally get them reliable. So DL got burnt pretty good. When the Lion Air CEO inked that deal he had the same look on his face as I do when I return a rental car.

Because of this, it’s my understanding that they are not interested in taking over any used aircraft in the near future.

Also Ed just said at the last Velvet that the only thing DL is interested in from Spirit is gate space and engines FWIW.

I don't know how true your story is especially considered the LionAir still haven't finished the final phase to refit the cabin

With virtually every purchase of used aircraft Delta made over the course of my career with the exception of the 717 management said never again. Never again seems to mean until the next deal comes up.

My impression was the aircraft were too costly to retrofit. The GTF engines on the other hand, were highly desired.

I dont know anything about NKs ops, but they had a better safety record than Lion Air. Who did their maintenance? Apples to oranges possibly.
