I know you are onto something with the SWA arc. It seems odd to me that their CFO is now the CEO, that rarely ends well. However, I dont see them dieing, just stagnating and rotting on the vine.

Your forward looking thoughts?...

Yeah... I don't know about dying on the vine.. but the growth that they have enjoyed for years will slow to a trickle. That's the way I read the tea leaves anyway. 737 orders pushed back.. what.. 3 years? The 717 issue... assimilating a merger... Heavy competition from the rest of the industry... Fuel hedges on the same level as the rest of the industry... IMHO it doesn't mean they are going away, but they aren't gonna be the pack leaders for much longer.

Next year at this time I will be interested to see if those guys that left DAL for SWA are still happy with that decision.

I guess it's 'cause I already don't feel good; everything's getting on my nerves. What's up with the DALPA forum that you have to hit the next page key about 5 times before it goes, then you still have to scroll up to get to the top of the page. Am I the only one with this issue? You'd think with the amount of dues I pay....

Well, call my cynical, but if the MEC passes it 100% the pilot group will pass it. I wonder what the vote was, I wonder if barely passing the MEC what that means for the MEMRAT?

3mergerIV will come along shortly and tell you the DALPA forum is perfect just the way it is. Then nuclear bomb guy will tell you it's HIS forum anyway, so just leave.
