Gahhhh!!! I'm being forced to change my password when I log into Icrew, it says "Note that your new password will synchronize across the majority of Delta's computer systems and will be needed to access these systems going forward".
I've changed my PW by mistake before, and this is a HUGE pain-- PBS stops working, flightline easybid has to be changed and usually breaks, both of those have to be changed on the phone and laptop and desktop; icrewmax stops working.... etc. etc. Is there any way to avoid this huge time waster and keep current PW? Anyone else getting forced to do this or did I click something bad by mistake? |

I haven't started with that nonsense yet. I'm going to wait untl they issue us tablets and let them figure it out. Right now it looks like a lot more trouble than it's worth. |
I concur.
Unless you enjoy trips through password purgatory, never look at your delta.com e-mail and do not load any pubs on your I-pad through Delta's system. |
Any one else getting their ATP during their next CQ sim?

You'd think it have a timeout feature after 10 minutes or so that required you to input your password, but not every time you press the home button. |

Use a number heavy password and change the letter at the end. A, B, C etc. Has worked like a champ and you're never more than one letter off. Good luck. |
Also if you have had a number password for a while and now have a new one with the new rules, to make things much easier when calling Dal Crew on your phone, set up a PIN! You won't have to remember the number coincidental to letters for punching it in on your phone.

This used to be the case but this last time (2 days ago) I was getting a countdown in Icrew that I couldn't ignore etc. They're now forcing this on us. Uncle Ferd recommended a solution a long time ago that seems to work.

When I asked the gal on the phone who walked me through it, I asked if I could use 2, and just flip-flop them, she said,"No, it has to be a new one each time." Then I told her I would probably not be showing up for my trips after about 180 days, because I won't be able to access iCrew to view my line, because there's NO WAY I'll remember my 'new' passwords if I have to change them every 90 days! She said, "Well, company policy is you MUST change it, every 90 days." It's amazing to me we've managed to survive this long, without that 'improvment' to security. This policy was obviously written by someone who's never been out of their cubicle, and knows they have to show up at 8, every Monday...unless it's a holiday of course. I'm sure any MD88 F/O worth his intermittant auto-spoilers will find another 'workaround' before too long, but for now, it's a huge pita! |

I've been wondering if there is a way to outsmart the Borg, I wonder if it remembers previous passwords? Can I use 4, and cycle through them every 90 days? Perhaps use change-over month at the front, some numbers, then A, B, C, D, whatever, at the back, and just keep cycling them...or will it know if one has been used before, even if it was more than 4 cycles ago?
