I think calling your day a 17 or 18 hour day is a bit of a stretch. We used to simply be on call 19 days a month 24 hours a day with 2 hours to report. Using your logic I had lots of 100 hour plus duty hour assignments. Sitting at home and having to reply to a phone call within 10 minutes is not all that taxing. I commute so would have to sit in a hotel or crashpad. Still not really difficult to hit answer on my cell if it rings. Contractually you are not on duty until you report at the airport for the trip. FAR's also don't have you on duty until that point. Whitlow is a rest based look back that requires 8 hours of rest in any 24 hour period. Its not considered duty.

Not to turn this into a political thread, but if the big O gets another term, capital won't be able to run fast enough from the US, and energy prices will launch into orbit.
Congress is 10 times more crucial in this election than the White House is. |

I believe that according to the FAA, if you are on call, you are not at rest.

In order to remember all these changing passwords guys will have to write them down in their wallets or keep them in their phones somewhere. Or they will have to use passwords that will be easier for them to remember and therefore easier for someone to guess. Combinations of birthdays or addresses or anniversaries or pet's names, etc. etc. |

Do what Ferd suggests and fight things that really matter. Have a eight number two Alpha password and change the alpha part as required. No big deal. |
