Adios for a while APC friends. Had a lightning strike. Took out everything wired to a wall. Even AC units on a 100 AMP sub panel, garage door openers, cell phone chargers, kitchen appliances, shop equipment. The file server was on a battery BU, behind a surge protector, still got blown to smithereens. Hoping the company network nerd can get data back off the RAID.
Good news is ... the house did not burn down and the musical equipment was unplugged. |

The only thing this new policy will accomplish is to reduce security.
In order to remember all these changing passwords guys will have to write them down in their wallets or keep them in their phones somewhere. Or they will have to use passwords that will be easier for them to remember and therefore easier for someone to guess. Combinations of birthdays or addresses or anniversaries or pet's names, etc. etc. I have not had to write anything down. Its not that hard. Pick the same 5 numbers. Something you know, perhaps your old password. Add to the front a 3 letter airport code. Each time it asks for a change use a different airport. Keep the numbers the same. All you have to do is remember which airport your using. You can reuse after 5 cycles. All you have to do is have 5 favorite airports. |

On a related note, does anyone know how to change the auto-filling passwords, I'm using a Mac and Firefox? |

I'm pretty sure this isn't legal. You can't operate an airplane Part 121 unless you've had 8 hours of rest in the preceding 24 hours.
