Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Exactly... and there are opinions from both sides expressed daily- each side tends to jump on the other just as much.

Here is a question for a contract guru. If you have vacation in a month where all you do is international flying, do you get paid the international override for your vacation hours? Now, this may seem like an instant "NO" but I was thinking how the MD88/90 is paid by how many hours you get on each plane. I believe reserve guarantee is paid on a percentage of how much 88 vs 90 time you have in a month. I'm curious if this also holds true for the international override. Probably not but wondering.

Agreed. I love what I do and wouldn't want to do anything else. I'm very happy in the cockpit, and usually out of it as long as I stay off APC! But I very much dislike the idea that the post-9/11 career funk will be permanent, which a lot of people seem to have accepted.

I'm glad you enjoy it over there. Why don't you stay. You insulted 2/3 of the pilot group at Delta, and I know the keyboard warriors here love your opinion. Really tough guys. But you won't spout off like that when you cross over.
This board has turned into bullying, so much so that anyone that disagrees can't even state his opinion....
Junglebus. I hope you find a job at another airline, I want to work with people who want to be happy here.

- Does not like Bullying, so he pulls a Sailingfun and writes don't come to my playground.
- Then there is, "I want to work with people who want to be happy here." This is interesting. Those who want Delta to hire more pilots as a result of improved scope and working conditions are considered, unhappy. That is not logical. If we were unhappy and wanted Delta to fail we would desire fewer pilots, not more. In my case, Delta was a life goal; I really enjoy Delta and think it worth the effort to try to make the airline a more sustainable career, not just for me, but for all the rest of us who by one method or the other have become "Delta" pilots.
Junglebus, it would be my pleasure to welcome you on board. In fact, bring about 10,000 of the best pilots you can find with you ... .

Honestly, they have to. The matrix in the PWA is hard limited. If we chose to amend or not enforce it, that's our will, but I do not expect either. Of note, not one 76 seat jet has been ordered as of today.
