It is a moving target. I will say that I am under the assumption that they will staff the two 777's as well as the increase in flying that the 88, 90, and 73N will be doing.

You can go from positions on the ER in NYC to CVG being cut to 767 positions in SLC or ATL being cut. Fact is that they are still looking at this and will try to minimize the impact as much as possible. I was told the first week of Aug then the second week of Aug. So I would say in the first two weeks of Aug after a few things become clearer, we will have an AE.

Lots will be answered that is foggy in the next two to for weeks. ( I know cryptic as usual, but as I have been saying for two to three months, things are starting to fall in to place. We know that in this industry that could mean a significant amount of time)

Thanks for the input ACL.... Never hurts to look for a little opportunity in times of adversity!

DAL4, a lot of them. A lot of 50's are coming off the leases. What will probably happen is that DAL will refuse to pay the current book on them, and if the carrier that is flying them wants to continue to use them, they will need to cover whatever DAL decides not to cover. It is another little way to try and get out of these DCI contracts.

I have the popcorn, and am getting ready for fireworks.

FWIW, the battle with Mesa is far from over. I see that coming to a head when the flying in CVG gets cut more.

I would be more specific, but in reality there are so many things that will change the game that are about to happen. What is current today may not be current tomorrow. We know that is the DAL way.

If I had a buck for every plan than never came to light.......

Reporter asked if more 2 class rj's will be added and more dc-9's will disappear. Richards answer was the trend was to be reversed....more mainline size a/c replacing rj's.

I'm just sitting back with my ear to the ground..... I'm prepared to make a move when the opportunity presents itself.....

I do have the overall feeling that I'm may be at the right place at the right time as far as being at Delta during the storm this Winter and the ensuing economic recovery on the horizon.

As they say in the South, "Ya'll hold on, this is going to be scary as hell!!!"

Great to hear about the DC-9.

Since you seem to be in the know ACL, I do have a question about your crystal ball and Memphis. Any rumors on future plans, at least for the next 3 years. Just curious as to what to expect.

Thanks

Three years???!!! My god, DAL does not even know that.

FWIW if I were in MEM or CVG I would be ready for anything. I do see them being able to operate the flying out of CVG without a base a lot easier than MEM.

I asked about the 777 staffing with all of the cuts, and the response I got was that they may not be flying to those places but they will be flying somewhere.

Of course we will need bodies if they are flying.
