Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Oh I won't be trying, like I said I'm too invested and feel I'm in a good spot here (projected in top 10 someday *assuming delta stays alone and in business of course*). With that said I could see a guy looking at it as an option if the potential outcome were even remotely similar which for me they are not.

Let me guess ... made Captain before the year 2000 when the "outsourcing is good" leadership team took over?
Look to your right and tell me, how green is that grass?
We have more in common with the Comair pilots than anyone at the Company who does not fly an airplane for a living.

Not saying you're wrong, but it does get a little old hearing about how two guys at the top are so smart, yet in one case we just seem to be spinning our wheels as a company, and the other as a nation. But hey, they're really, really, really ridiculously smart so it's just us dummies who don't get it.
I agree that it's frustrating, but I for one am thankful our management team looks forward. I'm glad they're proactive, rather then reactive. If not for that, I think things could be much more painful.

Do you equate capacity reductions, market shrinkage and increasing costs with "success" ?
Do you believe our stock performance is just the result of every one else just not getting what you perceive?
If I were former NWA I would probably see things a bit differently. After all, Northwest management has maintained their strategic direction.
Also, there is a difference between "well run" amd good to work for. US Air frequently surprises me with their better than expected performance, but I would not work there if that was the last flying job on planet. Delta is a good employer and offers a good product ... bit the same could be said for a number of once greats like Sears and Kodak.

So which is it? Did you make an "error" listing yourself as an ER A, or in your post above?

Would you prefer we continue to serve Europe at a loss? Do you honestly believe that had Delta remained independent, your airline would still be serving Cairo, Amman, Mumbai non stop, Berlin, etc?
The reductions in capacity sucks. But so does the global economy, our countries debt, the jobless rate, Delta's debt, and Gary Bettman(only NHL fans will understand that one). I want to be holding great, commutable line on the fleet of my choice too. But apparently it's just not my time.
I know you're happy to work at Delta, but I think your pointing the blame at FNWA management is off the mark. You're a business guy, so if you can prove to me the economy is ready for us to expand, or that other Legacies aren't following in our footsteps, I'll think otherwise.
