Most likely AS will drop the AMR codeshare and in turn DAL expands the AS codeshare...

Well so far this week we've heard rumors of AK adding service into SLC from LAX, LAS, PDX, and SEA. Now we have rumors of AF taking over the SLC-CDG flight. I think management has found their way of dealing with upcoming retirements and that seems to be outsourcing enough flying so they can shrink with retirements and not hire. So far I'm not liking any of the rumors that are going around this place since the new TA.

Thanks for the offer! I had a '46 J3 (C65) for years, but it was destroyed in a hurricane in 2004. Although I'm based in ATL, I live in central Florida, 85 miles south of MCO. I do pass through MSP on the way to NRT so there is a good chance I will get up there and give you a shout before I do.
Is yours on floats? I've always wanted to get my float ticket. I've flown a buddies J3 on floats a few times...until he flipped it a few years ago.

I've thought about heading down to Jack Brown's Seaplane Base to get my float rating, figure it'd be pretty easy as they use J3s. That's pretty close to your neck of the woods, isn't it?

So, anyone heading down to the BVIs next week for the interline regatta? Understand there's a decent contingent of Deltoids most years, wondering if any APCers.

DC9 First off I think its a smart move. Any time you add a new plane their may be hiccups whether its training ADs sim time etc. I see the DC9 as a check valve to make sure the 717 gets up and running and then bring it down. The worst thing to happen is to have a plan for the 717s and something comes up and then you scramble to fill the capacity/
SEA with RA my guess maybe he is up there to say we got the HND route? Does anyone know when that is announced?
Happy weekend everyone

Xtreme: Not picking on you here, but are you seriously wondering what the announcement will be? Please tell me you didn't vote 'yes' and expect anything less than a transfer of flying to ALK...
It sure didn't take long either... give our mgmt an opportunity to replace us with someone else, and they're all over it! Ahh well. It should nicely feed that Korean Air hub they are building to replace NRT (see yesterday's WSJ).

Nope, I wish it was on floats! Pretty much a plain jane J3 w/ no electrical system, a 1946 like yours...sucks getting totaled in a hurricane, ironic for an old plane to survive that long only to be destroyed on the ground .
