Gulf airlines come in from the cold with alliances
With Etihad starting a codeshare with AF/KLM, how long until they join Skyteam? If they do, I think we will be relegated to the narrow body and small widebody role that others predicted here a year ago. Korean, AF/KLM, Etihad fly the big stuff, regionals and Alaska fly the small stuff, and we do the middle portion.
I guess you can see it happening. Take a look at ATL-CDG on any given day. You know, our big hub and their big hub.
DL: 1x767
AF: 2x777
Does that seem balanced to anyone?

If you are 'negotiating' with Boeing for new airplanes, wouldn't you tell them;
1. You don't really want the 787 and
2. You are going to check out what Airbus has to offer and
3. Those A320 NEO and A350 sure look nice....
How much did you say you wanted for those 100 737 Max's and 50 787's again?
Really?
Well, I'll be in Paris...call me after you talk to the sales manager.

Michael Boyd prediciting cities with more than 80% load factors on DCI make more sense with mainline jets. He states >80% full means revenue is being spilled.

Seems to match what is coming in on other frequencies as well.
Of course, Traverse City is probably about where a fully loaded 737-900 rotates if it starts in Detroit.
