Along the way there have been visits by minor personalities, some just want to know how to bid a day off, others want the SWA jumpseat phone number. They are harmless, but do demonstrate the vast quantity of his multiple personalities.

All of his personalities liked the Jesse personality cuz he had the best collection of art. Jesse was removed by a particularly long electroshock therapy session.

Actually posting while watching football. Especially enjoying the Giants-Cowboys game since the Cowboys are getting killed in the first half. Going to see if the FO wants to take the bus down to Boeing Field tomorrow and check out the museum and the 787 which I'll probably never get to fly. Only because RA doesn't like it.

You are correct, Philly is about 30 miles upriver from the Delaware bay. I have no idea how a hurricane (or even a Frankenstorm) affects areas that far upriver. But that is really not the point I was trying to make.

Sure there can, and might be some tragedies associated with this storm as with any other storm. But I am sick of everything being sensationalized. Look hurricanes are dangerous - we get it, but now every named storm is treated like a biblical event. The media milks these stories for a week of ratings - so what if they are being a little "dramatic," after all its about the ratings.

When I was a kid TV forecasters used to report cold weather in temperature and every now and then when it was really windy would mention the wind chill factor. Now when its cold all you see are wind chill factors. Why report 10 degrees F when you can warn the masses of -40 F wind chills?

So I hope everyone comes out of this storm OK, but you can only hype these storms so much before people will start ignoring the warnings. And that is when we will have a real disaster.
