Our Fly Confirmed for less is a crock of $%&#.
DFW-HNL, Fly Confirmed for Less = $925 DFW-HNL, Fly Confirmed for even Less = 822 DFW-HNL, Delta.com = 857 Same flights same day I thought we were suppose to get at least 30% off. |

Wteef? :D What's next, someone confusing you for Carl or Jesse? Ok, fine. I am drank and Lumberg! I'm also ftb and acl. And Carl. And Jesse. I like me some boobies. And slow. It would be hard to pull it off without getting angry at one of my personalities without getting really butthurt at one of them and ignoring it. :) Not newK, though. I can't live up to that. |

Anyone flown with a LCA who has spilled the beans on the meeting takeaway? I just flew a trip with one, and he took 6-7 pages of notes, but I couldn't find anything earthshattering in them.
However, there was an interesting perspective floated about the TA/contract. Apparently, the timing of it had nothing to do with RJs and 717s (that was just $h1t for the troops), it had to do with locking down labor costs in order to get institutional investors and lenders to play ball with management for lending/ leverage. New aircraft are in high demand and thus make good collateral. If someone doesn't pay, you simply fly the jet over to the next customer. This whole financing thing has been floated around as some rumor for months and months and it is horse hockey. Delta's credit rating has improved since the merger and the last upgrade was before our deal was done. Delta had excellent access to credit with or without this deal. The timing was about the availability of this fleet of aircraft (717's) and the need to either stick a lot of money into engine maintenance on 50 seaters or get busy replacing them. It was all about the refleeting and had nothing to do with access to capital. |

That's not what he was asserting, alfa (nor what I heard from friends at the meeting).
