Newk did lots of flap 0s on the 9, said he didn't like the drag.

Thanks to youtube, I'm sufficiently afraid to fly now.

No price. 2000 model. Only 12,000 hours. Kind of a steal. And really comfortable.

That's definitely an F-14. Didn't you see Iron Eagle? That movie was filled with them... very historically accurate, too!

Yes. I think that's an F-14. I heard a guy who was trying to pick some girl up say he used to fly them in the Air Force. He then pulled out a picture of one -- looked like it was torn out of a magazine -- and it looked just like that. :D

Little late on the flaps, no big deal:)

I think that's called the takeoff configuration warning induced flap command.

newK, I'd appreciate you not giving away all my moves I used to pick up girls at our APC gathering at Spondivits. Those are trade secret.

FWIW, yes, it was torn out of a magazine. My next move was showing my pilot's license.

I'm sorry, 80. A guy as good as you can come up with more, even better moves. If you tell them you know Ferd or Super, move's aren't even necessary though.

Guessing they got to the "Configuration Warning" power setting threshold, got squawked at, slapped out the flaps, then advanced to T/O power....wow!

Elvi, resident B1 guru, how fast would an approach be if your wings were stuck in the swept position?

Lightweight in an F-14 (about 225,000lbs), about 250 kts at touchdown. Had a couple friends who did it -- the aircraft will stop, then the brakes turn orange, fuse plugs pop, brakes melt & catch fire, but with a good fire department you can save the airplane and replace the landing gear for about $800,000.
