Every airline wants free feed.
It's up to our scope clause to stop it and/or the other airline to irritate the outsource-er.

There's other ways to solve that, both from a company perspective anytime and a DALPA perspective during negotiations. We're starting to (maybe) see both play out, but we have a lot more work to be done as the status quo is still off balance to say the least.

Speaking of that, if we keep up the cautiously optimistic trend of "doing Alaska flying" and keep growing it, can they farm out their existing flying to us within the code share? Their scope from what people say is a good bit weaker than ours. Maybe we can use this nifty arrangement to make their route map the wrong color for a change?

According to the recent lounge meeting in LA, looks like we're taking some back.
And again when he came to SEA to kick off the new Asia service. Your boss is no dummy. He has no intention of seriously competing on the West Coast when he's getting the international feed for free. But, you guys keep smoking that pipe dream that your LAX operation is going to change any route map colors. That GREEN in your Inflight Magazine is GREEN for a reason. Its MONEY pouring into DAL coffers without having to have metal and labor on the routes. |

Not to punch a hole in your collective bubbles, but the reason DAL doesn't do the flying is you can't compete with the Alaska frequent flyer program on the West Coast. What you're seeing is a FEW added flights to try to suck up some of the overflow. I'm sure Tilden and Anderson agreed to the plan a couple months back when they met in PDX to inaugurate your PDX/Amsterdam service.

Good race, I thought DE and DP would team up for the pass to win. Anyways, Danica did great.
(This is my protest against those who use "your" when "you're" is what is meant.) |
Anyone on RES ever have a trip pop up on your schedule with no notification or required password verification?
