Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

But he was young and junior.
Something about if you can get it in the first 15 minutes then first come first serve and you don't drop anything without contacting the designated person sitting at the computer that day handling everyone's trips for them. So you call to make a trade or drop and then that person looks on the list of who is up next and will log in for them and pick up said trip in that 15 minute window.
That was years ago and I can see why you'd get canned for it.

One of the senior momma's was telling me about that Asian Moffia program, they call it...
"Snatch"

She said they have gone to the company to try to put a stop to it, but the company won't do anything about it.

Asked Chief pilot asked why delay on 717 entry into service. Did not mention sim moving. But did say that now they could delay converting as many pilots to 717 over summer.
Pretty logical on company's part, now they can continue to delay hiring. I'm not saying the sky is falling and I'm sure someone can put some positive spin on why they are not going to start 717 service. But before you bid for the summer off I think it is pretty clear that it not going to happen. I can see the next CR letter saying Nov then Dec then by next summer for 717 service.
Also, in the last letter from ops I was led to believe that we are still over staffed in the 330 and will be further overstaffed when they start the lie flat conversions and start removing the 330's from service. There is your next source of funding for the 717. Hmmm

Geez you guys are so triggered to anger!! I just meant that as friendly little banter by saying let's test your theory.
We need to do away the GS system. It only benefits locals. I'm guessing over 50% of us commute. By not having 1.5 over say ALV for example, it's cost me over a $1500 this month. I don't pick up or trade, just fly what pbs gives me. With ALVs going up with the new contract we should work on this, possibly in any negotiation involving the Virgen code share. There can stil be double time for inverse assignments or reroutes into days off. I'm sure the other half that don't commute won't like this though.

P.S. I think your commuter % is a bit high as well.
P.P.S. I'm not senior either.

From the company: The AE’s run first and they will fill all 145 positions or to the max amount of people who bid it. Next the MD’s run and it will look at their bid and determine if there is a junior pilot in the category or if there is a vacancy. If there is not a junior pilot to them, it will move on to their next choice.
From the union: The top most senior 145 AE’s would initially populate those positions. Then the system goes back and looks at Mandatory Displacements.
From me: So my understanding is they just run the AEs and if 0 pilots being displaced (767/DC9) bid the 717 on an AE then on the first run they're not put into the plane. 0 will be awarded the 717. However, the next run they do the MDs and that's when the 767/DC9 guys who bid the 717 on an MD (and wanted it) will get to hold it and knock junior pilots down below them until they knock people off. Then they post it. So for the DC9/767 guys, they luck out in that there are no category freezes off their MD and they'll hold it if their seniority was going to hold it in the first place. You end up in the same place. But it's also why that count thing on icrew is so worthless.
I'm still saying 1601 on March 19th.
And let's have an even bigger pool, how many times does someone ask if the AE is out?

You'll know it's happened when you see a little 25yr. old Asian girl with a SN of about 15,000+ flying your next Joburg trip, with all the 68yr. old 'area code' (3 digit SN) gals.

Then, just as the lock is expirining a new contract will be in negotiations with another "great deal" for the bottom half of the list.

You'll know when I'm angry, but I've been working on it. My Anger Management Councelor, Sam Adams, says I'm doing much better.
