Shouldn't they get short call before me? Or am I getting the "descretion of the scheduler" butt pounding I get every month?

Yes, you should call and ask why.. If the other guy is finishing a trip and has rest, he might be on the availability page but not actually legal. I hope you can get the real story from scheduling.

Take lots of screenshots and if you don't get an acceptable resolution you can call 1-800-USA-ALPA and see if our scheduling pros can help.

Anyone notice charges for international flights leaving the US? Usually when I book I don't get a charge when I leave the US, but of course there are the taxes and airport use tax when leaving a foreign country and returning to US. I just booked a flight for my father and it did a payroll deduction for a one way flight from Atlanta to Colombia.

Denny;

A few choices for the modern rocker, if you want to step into our century: Gary Clark jr, Moe, The Decemberists, My Morning Jacket, String Cheese Incident, Umphreys McGee, Phish, etc.

......and Muse, Snow Patrol, M83, Young the Giant, Of Monsters and Men, Capitol Cities,,,,,,,

There's a lot of really good music out there right now. Some of the best in a long time.

The stuff my youngest (19) listens to sounds a lot the same....

I have a pet theory that there hasn't been any "new" music in at least 20 years. The last time I remember hearing anything that sounded different was the early 1990's. Don't get me wrong... I love hearing music that could have been written in the 80's, I loved it then, I love it now. But I haven't heard anything that hasn't been done before. At least you can listen to practically anything, anywhere, for free or nearly so. Lots of great stuff on satellite radio. It's interesting how the cachet of being a mega rock star seems to have faded with the years. Not a lot of new acts that draw the sort of stadium cramming fanatics from all walks of life that I grew up with. But conversely it's much easier to see great live music wherever you live. Strange days indeed...

Makes me throw up a little to admit this happens, but it does, regularly....

The difference is you used to have to be able to play and sing after not having slept for a week high on cocaine. Now you just got to move around to a karaoke machine after not having slept for a week, high on cocaine.

Ah, but Bar... I said "from every walk of life"... you know that a stadium full of teenage girls doesn't count. That's been around as long as, well, I guess Frank Sinatra? (No disrespect to Old Blue Eyes.)

They put on one of the most amazing concerts I've ever seen - the music , the show - Unreal (in front of over 100,000 Spaniards in Madrid in the late '80s. And, later in the year watching them rock with Bruce Springstreen to "Born in the USA".

OK, Here's the list - my 70s, 80s

In no particular order: (add to the list - I'm sure I've missed some - just off the top of my head):

Jethro Tull, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Pat Benatar, Guns 'n Roses, U2, Bon Jovi, Uriah Heep, Ted Nugent, Blue Oyster Cult, Heart, Chicago, Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Warren Zevon, ZZ Top and my chick taking group - Olivia Neutron Bomb (Newton-John).

Also, I feel like I should probably include SEA because of its importance to DL as an international gateway, even thought it falls just shy of the 50-departure mark.
