Maybe grinding in toilet. Or someone grinding in toilet.

Dash 8. The props are a dead give away.

Anyone know why the ringtone on an Iphone 4 would just stop? I was playing a game on it and the sound just stopped. I've checked the switch and volume buttons on the side and the "ringer and alerts" volume is up in the settings menu. Vibrate works fine.

yeah, I said crack.

Scambo,

It has something to do with the trip coverage sequence. I am not 100% sure, but they might be asking for out of base reserves more than 1 day out, if they are short on in base reserves. Since out of base W/s are not filled until they day prior - they canno't use line holders.

If they can't fill it with reserves, it might eventually go to a white slip.

Anyway its something like that.

Ahhh, the media. I heard the report on the radio: The "turborprops" performed a "belly flop" on the runway. smh

Question for the scheduling/icrew experts - where can you go to find the number of green slips given out by base & equipment in any given day? I'm moving to Minne in a month, even though I'm Atlanta based, and would like to eventually volunteer for out of base green slips.

You have to check Daily Trip Coverage for the date and category you're interested in. If you want historical data you can check the ALPA site, under I think the Scheduling Committee tab. They put out a report that shows the # of GS by category/month. Keep in mind that its probably been slow since last summer and is only really ramping up the past few weeks. Can't hurt to put it in and see what happens.

Out of Base GS are pretty low on the totem pole, but there have been a few this weekend in various categories. They will go out before an IA which have also been awarded recently. Don't tell your wife it's an option or she'll log on and sign you up when you're not looking!
