The RFP's went out this winter. A decision is expected in September.

It's like the F22: RFP 1981, Selected 1991, First flight 2001, Customer Acceptance 2005.

Meanwhile the Soviet Union disbands in 1991.

Does the Air Force run this program? Hey Wait! I mean they've almost selected the 767 to replace their 707's.

The Air Force was trying to figure out if they could refuel a 707 by hooking up with a B52 and rolling inverted. They briefed it for 11 years until 35 people made Lt. Colonel and became scratch golfers. After another 2 and a half year pre flight briefing they flew the mission.

As they rolled inverted the Flight Engineer asked, "did anyone talk to Boeing about this? I mean, we talk a lot, why not talk to them?"

How's that?

The 90 degree Lazy 8s were standard stuff at B-52 IP school at Castle. Its been out of the course for years now.

Nobody, but nobody can refuel like BUFF drivers.

I am pretty sure that SWA is still on the hook until we take delivery of them, so it ain't our problem. They have to ensure it is done right, to DAL specs, or they get to continue paying for an airplane they don't want or ain't gonna use. Either way it's a win for us.

New little AE for June 3rd. No specifics. Sooner than expected, though. Hopefully lives up to the title, and not full of displacements. That is all.

Did you ever stop to think that it was dread over the impending F-22 that put the last nail in the coffin of the F-22. :)

Whats the difference - with them gone we are slowly (not slowly enough) morphing into a semi-socialist state anyway.
