How many rumors have you heard that have come true? I heard we were going to merge with Alaska three years ago. I heard we were going to merge with Hawaiian a little over 2 years ago. I heard we were going to furlough in 2009. I heard we were going to buy Japan Airlines 747s in 2010. I heard we were going to park all the DC9s immediately over 2 years ago. I recently heard that we were going to buy JetBlue. I've also heard that Boeing was going to buy NATCO and we were selling our 747-400s back to them. I have also heard in 2010 that we were going to park all the 55XX series 757s.

That's 8 rumors I can think of right of that I have heard since we merged. NONE of them have come true.

NWA and Delta merging was a rumor.

The SWA/FL's B717s being acquired by Delta was a rumor.

I agree with you and they better be careful of HIPAA!

One thing I noticed from the form they had in April is they removed the statement that said: "I hereby authorize the medical professional below to release the nature of my illness in general term in compliance with Section 14.F of PWA".

I showed that to my doctor a few months ago and he told me because of HIPAA it is not the company's business unless of course I want to make it their business. So he just gave me a note from his office saying I was seen by him for an appointment on that day.

Another thing he said that rings true is that they entrust us with multi-million dollar aircraft and hundreds of peoples lives, but do not trust us when we call in sick!

What is the plan, 6 B717s in October and then 3 a month after that. What is it that FL 717 pilots are saying about the airplanes right now concerning deferred maintenance?

So airplanes with a lot of deferred maintenance are going to move expeditiously through the conversion process?

Current 5500 series B757s in storage: 5502, 5516, 5517, 5520, 5526, 5527, 5528, 5529.

5500 series not in storage: 5501, 5503, 5507, 5519, 5521, 5522, 5523, 5525, 5530, 5531, 5532, 5533, 5534.

Crew planning news June 4, 2013 paraphrased: preliminary plan over next 12 months is to retire 10 757s plus 6 more 757s in last half of 2014. In 2015, 15-20 more 757s will be retired. As a result, we have a 7ER pilot surplus...

That is a very valid question. However, you answer requires inter-departmental coordination, 2 or 3 focus groups, a tiger team and a steering committee event.

How could you hope for anything more than a shot in the dark on this board.

I have an idea, lets set up a meeting to determine when the meeting will be where we discuss this topic from every angle. If FTB is not at the real meeting, we'll have to set up another meeting to ensure he has buy in on what we decided in the second meeting. Then we'll write a white paper with an executive summary just for you.

Yeah, but we will have all those higher paying 737-900s to fall back on, so it's all good. Oh wait....
