There are growth airplanes that are going to start showing up in 2015, AA/US will route rationalize sometime in 2014 creating limited growth opportunities. We're paid to provide our experience and expertise to safely fly planes. And we're not being paid enough to do that. I don't give a sh!t about Delta being listed on the S&P 500. Why do you? Profits are at an all-time high. Our compensation is not. That's a problem, don't you think? But hey, maybe Delta will be on the S&P 500 next year. Woo hoo. Please tell me how that will help pay for my kid's braces. |

"we'll get 'em next time." we were in a great "position to negotiate" for C2012 and we pi$$ed it away on a concessionary contract. why on earth would we expect different results next time? what has changed at ALPA and/or the pilot group that would lead us to believe we're capable of negotiating meaningful improvements? |

Now, now Finis. Don't be silly. You don't sound like a broken record.
You sound like a patronizing management/union stooge. Good things on the horizon? Are you kidding me? With this union? Unless you're referring to Age 70, of course. |

Appreciate the love Ten. Maybe I do drink too much but I can assure you it's not Koolaid. I am a very positive person and a very realistic person. I understand basic economics and I'm a student of the US airline business (not the air cargo or foreign air line business). I also don't really care about today but think in longer terms, like 2 or 3 years down the road. That is why I'm so optimistic about the future for DL pilots, not what's happening today but what is going to start unfolding as we head into 2014. Finis, Thank you for the breath of fresh air! <absolutely no sarcasm> The debbie downer's on this board have almost made it unbearable to read at times, and your post is one of the most refreshing I've read in a long time. Johnso29 gets kicked in the groin each time he comes on here and posts something positive, and/or refutes a poor rumor. Here's to a prosperous year for Delta, hiring pilots by the end of the year, and good things to come all around. GJ |

You sound like a patronizing management/union stooge. "Good things on the horizon?" Isn't that what you said 5 years ago? If you're saying that Finis said those things 5 years ago, why don't you go find that particular post? Of course you'd want to back up your accusations, right? Ya, didn't think so. Keep posting garbage like you post Purple, and keep wondering why you're on so many "ignore" lists. That should keep your occupied for a while. GJ |

Are you a pilot? Because that sounds like a lot of stuff management is paid to worry about.

GJ Delta has made it blatantly clear that we will not be rewarded commensurate with its success (although we were certainly punished commensurate with its failures). I'm tired of the pollyannas on here glossing over the reality. We are irrelevant as a pilot group. And we deserve it. |
