I agree wholeheartedly New. I've been impressed the few times I've met him. Plus, he's running a hell of a good airline.

Yup. I've seem a few other CEO's in action and none of them were as personable. If you ask them a question, they would get a pained look on their face like they were stopped up or something.

It's all or nothing. I found it in the PCS guide. If there is one trip that can't be dropped then the entire priority #1 goes to #2. I was also able to figure out that you can get more than 2 priorities by filling out the 1st two and then select the PF forward key. I did 8 priorities which contained every possible drop combo for my trips I'm trying to drop. Hope that helps.

The CA I flew with last night came off the 9.

He was on his 5th leg, it was my first. He had flown with 2 other FOs during the day as well. It takes 3 normal FOs to do what one former DC-9 captain does in a day.

He grew up in Dallas, went to school at the University of Houston and Law School at another Texas college, so his accent is Texan.

-9 guys are tough as nails! Thank goodness we are extremely overstaffed (specifically on the FO side). Maybe network ran the numers and working 3 FOs is more economical than hiring new FOs.

Saw it in GSO a few days ago. Winshields were replaced, new slats were going on, and they were just replacing the radome and starting to pop the cowlings when we left the next day. Lots and lots of big wooden crates with airplane parts sitting all over the ramp. Agent said it encountered the hail on approach to GSO, not ATL.
