Once you're released from duty, you need to call scheduling and let them know you're available again. They won't just drop the rest of the month, for example. It's one trip/a group of reserve days at a time.

I get called all the time in CA. My wife has never been summoned. I'm not sure how they "randomly" select people but I get it exactly once a year. Good luck.
Be happy if you don't get called by the Feds. I got a summons for Federal Grand Jury duty.

It's a VERY big deal. Basically, it takes one week a month out of your life for a whole year (at least in the District of St. Paul).

It's a two day selection process, and I got out of the big show at the last cut.

It was shaping up to be a rather significant piece of civic duty.

Hey Nu

Yup. My upcoming is LA District Court, meaning its two weeks of calling in daily. Previously, it was county court which was one day at the courthouse. I actually enjoy the service and civic duty aspect. I embrace the citizen duty thing. But driving 50 miles each way in LA traffic gets old fast. I want to sit on something big. My foreman gig was a civil suit with a moron suing Home Depot because he couldn't follow instructions and erect (hello Anthony Wienir) a ladder properly. He was also a wealthy avocado farmer and wanted to blame the ladder. We were unanimous that he was an idiot. No financial blame for The Depot.

I get called like clockwork every 2 years for Jury Duty for the County Court. The Courthouse is only about 5 minutes from my house, so it's an easy deal.

Unlike what we've been told to expect, I've found my fellow jurors to be generally intelligent and thoughtful. You do see the occasional oddball and fruitcake.

There was this one time where a self-proclaimed anarchist got up and basically told a judge off...

The Voir Dire process is pretty funny, though. Some lawyers don't want anything to do with anyone who knows anything about anything.

For everyone with jury duty:

In my home state, hopefully in yours, when they send you jury duty notice, they give you a date that you are obligated. It also says if you cannot do that date, write in the date you can, send it back and they'll make that your jury duty week. Every time I write in Christmas week and they give it to me. When I get the new notice with Chriatmas week, I send that to the company and Walla, no workie on Christmas week. The big bonus is that no lawyer or judge is going to work that week either and you never get called.

Like I said, this is not always the case. They may just drop the last day of your 4 day if day 4 is the when your jury duty starts.

Narrow bodies are replacements for retiring 757 and 320's. Neutral to Negative "growth".

When do the wide bodies arrive?

I've been called 4 out of the last 5 years. I was so tired of it I was thinking of buying a black sharpie and drawing a Charlie Manson swastika on my forehead the next time I got called. Now I hope I get the letter so I can try your technique. That is brilliant if it works.
