Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
With the RLA, management pretty much gets to decide how long section 6 periods last. Always smart to be funded for all eventualities.
My opinion is that we were not served by the MEC administrators that were recently removed. It is my further opinion that one of the reasons they got so far off the tracks was this concept of management directly funding union people doing union work. YMMV.
You did describe USAPA that way, but that's not the point. The point is your attempt at discrediting the Seham firm for being fired from a dysfunctional failure. Can't have it both ways.
Yes, especially for an organization that hasn't been voted in yet.
Don't know.
Call Kitty Hawk.
ALPA was initially strongly opposed to any change to the age 60 retirement rule.
In spite of ALPA's attempts to lower the 1,500 hour minimum.
Timeline has been slow to be sure, but still very exciting prospect.

Wasn't there a DPA thread that was kept in the Majors section so that talk could focus there? We've got aircraft orders, newhire classes starting soon, seemingly compounding 717 issues, an AE is coming out tomorrow, and I get in from flying and it's all DPA/DALPA.
Sheesh.
Sheesh.

You are right, 80.
My guess for the AE:
20 more -800 A/B positions in ATL
20 more -800 A/B positions in DTW
20 more -800 A/B positions in NYC
20 more -800 A/B positions in LAX
20 more -800 A/B positions in SLC
20 more 717 A/B positions in ATL
20 more -800 A/B positions in DTW
Maybe a few 7er reductions, but hopefully not too many (none).

The poop is hitting the fan a bit harder with the 717 delays it seems. No rotations will be published for it in October, and it sounds like they are scrambling to figure out what to do. Even though delta.com still shows the 717 starting on the 19th, when you go and look at the seats available on travel net, it shows 12/138 capacity, which is the A320. Cross checking with iCrew, they have all been converted to 320 rotations. There are only 6 rotations available for the 717, day trips starting on the 26th and one 2 day. Nothing after the 29th.
It'll be interesting to see what they have to say when they finally speak about what's going on. I just got a text that the bid packs are delayed another 24 hours.
As far as 7ER displacements, we'll see what the last minute Ouiji board tells them tomorrow morning. Or do they take number magnets and throw them up against the wall and see what sticks right before putting it out?
I'll knock it off if that's what the thread wants Clamp. I've only responded to these latest rent-a-mob hand grenades after lurking quietly for a month. If you want these discussions taken off the thread, take them all off...not just when opposing views begin.

I started a thread for those who want to try a discussion. Maybe we can up our game a little, and keep it useful and clean. Maybe the L&G has suffered enough?
Steve Dickson didn't discuss the 717 delays during his base visit yesterday? And no one questioned him about it??
I just couldn't believe I had to wade through 12 pages of extremely long winded posts that were just spinning around in circles when I got home. It's certainly not near as bad as AWE/USAPA stuff... but it gets obnoxious after a couple pages.

Your discipline is a bit over the top. And no, I couldn't finish it.

No, johnso, I think it's a bad idea. Let people see the discussion in sequence, and decide for themselves if they want to follow over there. I wanted to make it voluntary. If you want to move the posts (your prerogative but not my suggestion), move them onto something else. I'm trying to see if we can't do better, not play with people's conversations.
Sound fair?
