Agreed! It's a train wreck and has been for awhile. That's why I write.

If you look at history, we are basically following the path of most countries that went broke. Just pray to God it comes apart before there is a currency crisis.

Totally off topic...I've been considering buying a used porsche Carrera. I'm looking at 1999-2003 cabriolets. Anyone got one or experience with one that cares to chime in on quality, durability, negatives, etc. it will be a toy car.

PM me your email. My former boss is a has owned various 911's and was around the Brumos team. He has a new GT3 in the garage that he traded a euro Carerra RS (aluminum) for. In the range you are considering there were some metallurgy issues. Apparently cyl studs can pull from the block. I can send you his guide.

A friend of ours is a long time automotive engineer and we were just discussing German cars the other day and his comment about Porsches was many people can afford to buy a used one, not many can afford to maintain them.

Yeah tell me about it, I just spent $1200 on a new set of tires for mine. They only last about 10-20k miles depending on your driving habits.

Reading that message board previously posted, many said plan on spending on about 4-5K/year on the mx of a Porsche. Seems reasonable to me.

So we dhd'd to an usual all RJ city today, the older very senior ASA captain asked us if we were flying a charter... nope the airbus flies there now.

He responds with "you guys are taking our flying!"

Not sure if he realized the irony in that statement!
