Philosophically, I agree, but there is no way I want to be on a salary. Having been there in another life, a salary is nothing more than a way to extract more work out of you.

I agree. A salary is a way for you to do free work. As it is now, if we work extra, we get paid extra.

Interesting snippet from a Seeking Alpha article:

To cover up for empty seats, Southwest Airlines had implemented a "No Show policy" and "Lost Ticket." Under the no show policy, if a customer fails to change or cancel tickets 10 minutes prior to travel and fails to board the flight, he/she will be termed as a "no show" and no refund will be provided. In case of Lost Ticket, no replacement or refund would be provided and new tickets will have to be purchased at appropriate fare charges.

I wonder if the rest will follow suit.

LUV is also increasing it's stock buyback plan. I wonder if that is also one of the reasons why shareholders are paying up for the stock....

Here's the article in it's entirety for those interested. Click <

Alfa,

I cannot imagine the pain and agony you and yours are going thru now. No parent should out live their kids. This has always been my greatest fear.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I pray you all can find a path to navigate thru this tragedy.
