WoW. Two endorsements that the process works and that the world didn't end. These should be copied over to the other thread. I logged onto the -other forum- this week and it was nothing but evil Lee Moak talk and it was days before all this happened. Someone was doing some serious muckraking well before this kicked off and I now know I don't need to go back there after reading these two posts.
"The process worked", GMAB.
i'm ready to clean these old alpa guys out

I tend to agree somewhat with Bus here as it concerns the democratic process. All democratic processes including ALPA and DPA have recall policies set up. I'm willing to lend a huge amount of credence (and thanks for posting) to Check and Chatter as they actually went to this meeting and watched it as line pilots and have a pretty good reputation on here and haven't been maligned by being called ALPA insiders/koolaid drinkers etc.
The alternative theory is that all the rumors we read for the week before the meeting actually took place were true. We've got days of premeeting conspiracy vs what I think is an excellent piece by Check and Chatter agrees on Check's view of the meeting. At this point I don't even care if my LEC sends anything out I'd be happy with letting Checks review stand as a true neutral in all of this.
If you want to discuss this as a DPA/ALPA recall discussion I'd prefer returning to the other thread as the DPA recall is unbelievable complicated compared to this and has all kinds of pitfalls that could lead to all types of fun like "The Base Representative may be recalled without cause at any time by a Majority Vote of the Executive Board."
Back to this meeting - Check, Chatter and others went. They saw the process unfold and work and reported that even though it was a tough meeting that the process itself was followed and things are moving forward. All democracies have a process. Ours was followed, unless someone is trying to discredit Check and Chatter, then that's another matter

Thanks for the insight, Check. Nice to get an informed opinion, without some sort of pro/anti recall slant.
