So in 58 years the mag heading for runway 9/27 has shifted 8 deg and the airport elevation has increased by 2ft. I would have thought will all of my landings there it would have gone down by at least that much :confused:

Seeing the old layout of the ATL airport and runways 15 and 21 really helps make some of those strange taxiways on the south side make more sense.

If we only still had those charts ... think of the money Delta would save on gas. Instead of flying down wind till abeam Huntsville, Talladega, or Augusta / Athens, the clearance coud be "Delta, cleared direct Atlanta VOR at 5,000; cleared for the option, report on the ground." (the Douglas fleet would get a 10,000 foot clearance)

With a properly executed overhead break, we would not even need to monitor cool down time ... already done.
