Here's a documentary of his crash.

Default Mitchell Appreciation Month

If Douglas can have a "month" so can North American/Mitchell.

Check this out. You will not fully appreciate it unless you can crank the audio. Best watched with the volume turned up to 11.

Note - these are all real restored actual aircraft - no CGI.

Catch 22 Take off scene - YouTube

One of the best aviation scenes ever.

Where's the bidpacks?? They've only got 4.5 hours left to the deadline, normally bidpacks are out several days early.

Wonder what is holding them up?

BTW-- good catch22 scene... thanks for wasting 22 min of my life, I couldn't stop clicking on other scenes. Good flick, never saw it, only read the book. Now I'll have to watch it

Anybody else getting this pop-up ad on APC?

Surely they know its about 95% guys on here.

The advertisers must think we will get our wives some boob cream for Christmas.

If I bought her this stuff I would have no problems with the Chief pilot. My injuries would be easily verifiable.

The trips are in open time. There are some 4 leg 8.5 hour days on the ATL 320. That's nice...

Interesting Tidbit. When researching flights for a buddy pass (i really don't care for them, hence the pass...tic)....During December SEA-LAX shows ALL flights, to include Alaska. They want to return in Jan...Deltanet only show's Delta Metal on the route...what a concept! FWIW heard at council 81 meeting yesterday, and I hope I get this right: 70% of the bookings on our new Westcoast routes are OUR passengers feeding OUR SEA Int'l flights. Only good can come of that!

My opinion, not Council 81:

RE: ALPA PAC and the ME carriers, preclearance and coming cabbotage attempts. We need to start targeting individual congressman who will not support our profession/industry. This SHOULD be a coordinated grassroots movement and backed by the PAC and AFA.

Supporting the ME preclearance facility is a direct attack on us, as such we should respond in kind. If we're going to be out of a job...so should said congressman.

Hence why there will be a lot of reroutes. Remember under the new rules it is NOT legal to start legal to finish. So on 4 legs, through ATL probably, 8 minutes over per leg and your last one is free. Or just one good ATL day of messed up ops and you're now a minute over 9 hours before departing on the last leg and you're done. I wonder how many guys are going to screw this up and fly over to be a team player. Old habits are hard to break.
