Gotta find the bright side of life and end on that note, so truly here's the big picture IMO on this AE (despite that I get torqued by sailing's interpretation of numbers):
No one got displaced on this AE, and a lot of new Capts--and that's a GREAT result by anyone's book! Some guys even got reinstated, sweet for them!

We will need to increase our 7ER First Officer levels by June in order to fly the summer schedule and will post another AE in approximately 45-60 days with 7ER First Officer openings. At this time, we do not know the categories where will see openings or to what level. Network is making their final adjustments to the summer schedule now and once they are complete we will make our staffing decisions based on the summer flying""
Be nice to know how long they plan to keep those aircraft (positions). Quite a few would stay there until retirement / upgrade if they could, but ... playing displacement pinball is not fun (or productive).

The December posting had 162 vacancies, the award resulted in 296 AEs, 0 MDs, 0 VDs and 7 reinstatements. This AE moved 303 pilots to categories they would rather have been in and 0 pilots to categories they would rather not be in.
