I'm not sure what would happen if it processes to through someone else before a superviser gets a chance to review it. I figure the union would have a better answer for you there.

Scheduler was trying to tell me swaps have to be done 3 days prior ??? DALPA is out for the snow I guess (understandable). Anyway, its the second time in 3 days so I'm not trusting their algorithms.

That doesn't sound right. Unless it creates a violation it should go through. The superviser who called me said the computer is improperly violations, so I'd either try to get through to a superviser though I think they've been pretty slammed past few days.

The first flight of my NYC rotation tomorrow is delayed by 2 hours, but the rotation still shows me signing in on time (3 hours prior.)

Is this legal per the PWA?

I think the question I would be asking is what does my max duty day become if I sign in when they want.

Dalad,

Thank you. One take away is:

industry watchers say the two-tier pay structure isn't sustainable. Even before the current pilot shortage, many regional carriers were struggling. Several have filed for bankruptcy protection in recent years. The big airlines also have pressured the regionals to shell out for larger jets that are more fuel efficient than the 50-seat jetliners that have long been standard.

"Something's going to [have to] change in the relationship between the majors and the regionals," said Jonathan Kletzel, a transportation consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. More regional airlines may fail, he said, and big carriers could have to buy them to maintain short-haul service.
As Delta acquires these carriers we need our union to ensure these become "Delta" jobs; thus solving management's recruitment problem and our scope problem.

Yes, your duty time under 117 now starts at original sign in unless you receive 10 hours notice from the company before the new sign in if they choose to change it.

Is that the MEX 2 day? I saw that awarded for tomorrow with a 11:00 PB. I was wondering about that.

So the 3 hour sit is sort of like 23K without being on 23K.
