That's very eye opening. Any advice on sunscreen that dosent make you feel like a greaseball?

For sailing I use either Coppertone or Bullfrog waterproof sport. Not the white goo, that is greasy, but the clear spray that dries non-greasy. It does smell funky when you spray it on, but it lasts a long time, even when you get wet.

I spray it into my palm then rub it on as a liquid, vs. spraying it all over me, where 90% of it is lost to the wind. I haven't used it while flying yet. I doubt the TSA would let me bring it through anyway.

Eucerin. I am a "short sleeve guy" ;). Stuff has no odor, not greasy. Stick it on arms and neck up.

That thing about long sleeves, man that seems to be so true.

Wasn't there supposed to be an AE out today?

I believe they said "the week of the 24th." Which usually means on Friday...:)

Just as a counter to The Manager....

I'm as fair skinned as you get. So fair, in fact, that I could be used as "the visible human" if you held a bright light behind me. I don't tan, I burn, and that only takes a few minutes. With the exception of a few years, I've always lived where there sun shines most of the year.

I see the dermo once a year. He has to ask what I do. I get the once over, twice, with a bright light, followed by a black light. And this is in an area where they see all kinds of whacky sun related skin problems. My skin is fine, and I've never had anything sun related removed.

That said, everyone should see the dermo once a year.

I'd be more worried about getting the chute checked on a regular basis, most especially after 40.

Eucerin makes an SPF-15 lotion that is odorless. You can get it at TGT, WMT, and most grocery stores. It is called Daily Protection. I have been using a product called Efudex that goes on as a lotion and seeks out pre-cancerous skin cells. I use it in Jan-Feb as it makes you look like a leper for 3-4 weeks. The areas that are pre-cancerous turn all red, then scab up and your skin is like brand new. Well, about as brand new as a 55 year old can get.

Wait until you hit about 60-65, that's when the solar karatosis and other bad things start.
