FWIW, any PA that is not verbatim out of the FOM, as in, "Flight Attendants please prepare the cabin for departure," while the aircraft is moving on the surface is a violation of sterile cockpit.

We nearly had to fill out 3 ASAPS in 3 days because of this guy. I was tempted on the last one to let it go and fill it out, but decided to catch him a 3rd time.

I flew for a regional and also in the military. My takeaway is that it is surprising how relatively few a-holes I've encountered in aviation. Those few came from varied backgrounds.
