From the Hotel Update, I didn't see anyone commenting on this juicy goodness:

JFK AirTrain: Beginning March 1st, crews will no longer ride the AirTrain to Federal Circle. The Crowne Plaza will pick up arriving crews at the Departure level of terminals T2 and T4. At T2, the pickup area is at the last door on the Departure level. At T4, the pickup area is at the last door (door #5) on the Departure level. Pilots should call the hotel as they are approaching the pickup area. Please don’t call too early, as the hotel vans are not allowed to loiter there.

And in other hotel news. We begin mainline service (and layovers) in April and May, respectively, to ABE and AVP. Coming to a 717 near you. :-)

Any idea how far down the list the SSPs have gotten? I've heard an FO at Endeavor interviewed and hired. Imagine how much seniority he gained over the flows.

Question: Anyone at Compass or Mesaba with the qualifications needed for an interview at Delta, have any interviewed or are they all waiting/not getting called because they have the flow? And how does that work if they are called and not offered a job, but they have flow rights?

Yeah ok, since you know these are places we don't now go on mainline, you could guess that most of us don't know what these codes are for, and will have to waste time googling it.
Bad dog! Bad!

It's Allentown Bethleham Eastern (Lehigh Valley)
and
WilkesBarre/Scranton (airport in Avoca PA thus AVP). You're welcome.

They are down to the mid 500's and the next group goes into the 600's.

AVP, at least, will be the baby bus through Aug.

So if the DAL plan for 9E was to solve the crew cost issue by taking the most expensive pilots and moving them to mainline via the flow, doesn't this hurt that cost control equation when so many are staying put?

1 non flow CP FO is already in class and 1 flow pilot interviewed but didn't get through the test I hear. Still has flow rights or can retry interview since they passed the panel. Haven't heard of any others yet but most flow captains don't have their apps filled out until they need to, basically once they get their letter.

Straight to the WB to baby sit a jet on second break?

Nah. They'd learn too many bad habits.

Bar, I may have missed this in reading your posts but were you thinking about a system where a mainline DAL pilot can bid down and fly an outsourced RJ as a mainline DAL pilot with the rest of the crew still being outsourced? A way to mentor newer lower time pilots?
