Ok boyz, don't want to make a karma mistake so here is my question.....

I'm sitting my once no more than twice a year reserve month in April. So my question is......when do I start my reserve beard? I quit shaving after I got home on Monday (done for the month). My first reserve day is the 7th. Should/can I keep my current beard (Joemomma already giving me $hit) or do I wait till the 7th (joemomma's opinion....but she's normally wrong on aviation matters).

Don't want to screw this up!:D

The last time you used a razor on your last flight should be the last time a razor touches your face. So basically it starts growing when you show for your last flight.

My reserve beard is more of a reserve goatee. The beard is fine for a few days, but then starts to get itchy (I guess I'm not Duck Dynasty material). The reserve goatee doesn't itch. I start as soon as I shave for my final leg of my last trip.

Don't we wish. RA says the 330 needs a re-engine and the 777 economics don't work for DAL.

As an aside, I don't know (based on RA's comments) how Unical can blacken the skies with heavy metal without imploding.

I get those too.

I really sucked. :D

But I really felt like I was doing better. I mean six years on Douglas products, I know how to give good flap.

Yeah, my crappy excuse for a beard is already itchy. But I'm in "you can't tell me what to do" mode. Joemomma told me yesterday not to try and kiss her till I shave:D

Felt it north of LAX. 'Course, had about 10 eleven year olds running around at a birthday party so the quake was the easy part. Kind of a slow wave-like motion this time. I've been thru five or so out here in 8 years. They've all been remarkably different in intensity. I've had a couple of landings in DTW that were scarier.:D
