No you couldn't. I am not saying it should be unrestricted, I am saying that the same rules should apply to X day moves that apply to PBS Reserve bidding. Right now for my category the bidding rule is 3-99-5. Min days on of 3, max days on of 99 and no more than 5 reserve day groupings. If these are the rules for original line construction then I feel like X day trade restrictions should be the same.

Is it really "gaming the system" or just using seniority to shape your schedule to fit the flying that you prefer to do? Keep in mind that 1. Move reserve day off requests are processed in seniority order, and 2. coverage must be adaquate on the day you want to move it to.

Heck I like that PBS can schedule me for a single day on call; essentially gave me an extra day off last month. I do hate that PBS can do things we cannot.

This just became much bigger than one missing airplane.

Even if we are talking about this black hole theory, you'd think an experienced flight crew would have navigated around it. Just poor piloting if you ask me.

They couldn't get around it if a Tractor Beam was used.

BTW, worthless trivia event: "The Black Hole" was the first Disney flick which showed a death on screen.

Close up pics I saw showed both engines destroyed with nacelles ground down to the engines. Nose gear destroyed and fuselage wrinkled. Severe tail strike on aft fuselage. Looks like aircraft is a strike. Must have been a wild ride to get the nose gear, tail and both engines with the main gear remaining intact.

What data? Care to enlighten? Thx.

I believe the actual block hours are up about 2 percent which should equal about 100 captains. The union put out that the contract changes would cause a net loss of 100 to 150 jobs or 50 to 75 captains. That number was stated here over and over again as total BS. Some said we lost thousands of jobs. The terms massive and huge job losses were posted over and over again. We should still be furloughing if that was true.

Is it possible Delta is holding fleet steady (slow 757 retirements) and increasing staffing to help offset the upcoming pilot shortage they continue to preach? That way they could park aircraft as needed to remain staffed properly not overloading the training pipeline.

Well hell to the yes.

It's proven too!

But that's from like 3-4 years ago so are they still working on that? Sailing? George? Anyone who reads that remote control airplane magazine... Aviation Week and Space Technology? They have airline stuff in there even though they seem to be dedicated to remote control stuff.
