Agreed. A little perspective is in order. We each needed the other to survive and prosper, and we are a better combined airline than either one was separately.

This is bar none, the most successful airline merger in history from both a corporate and employee perspective. The speed bumps are nothing compared to what competitors have gone through or we might with a Hawaiian or Alaska merger.

Well put.

For bonus points, try to imagine what the same animals might be doing over at USAmericanTWest.

I thought we were past all this BS? We're one awesome company that's the product of 2 great companies. I'm finally not worried about my paycheck disappearing and I'm proud to be here and proud to work with you guys.

A unified pilot group is probably the greatest gift we can give ourselves at this point.

And what if the plane had been full, can an off line F/A ride in one of our F/A jumpseats? This also brings up the old 'you're not trained on the doors' excuse for not allowing pilots to ride in off-line F/A jumpseats.

Are offline F/A's allowed to JS on us or did the gate agent just do her a favor?

Our FA's jumpseat on JBLU all the time. They have reciprocal J/S on other carriers as well. I believe but may be wrong, there has to be a seat available in the cabin.

To a man, or lady, every single FNWA co pilot I have flown with has been a great pleasure to work with.

Yes, the OAL flight attendants can ride on us. No, they really are not "jumpseating" but actually using an ID-0 pass. There has to be an empty seat and they get boarded last, behind the most junior S-4. They do not have to ask permission as they are in fact non-revving. It is a reciprocal agreement between airlines. All this is buried in the FOM and DeltaNet. Helps to be married to a FA.

As others have said, yes, other airline FAs can jumpseat on us and Delta FAs can jumpseat on them. But only in passenger seats. Search DLnet for "Flowback" and you'll see everyone who can. It's a long list - 18 airlines.

I don't think I've ever run into an offline FA jumpseater though.

Thanks for the ingo, good to know, first time I'd ever seen it.

Oh, and on the 'how hot was she' thing, I only got a quick look at the top half as she just stuck her head in the door to say Hi, but I've found if you just turn the lights off they're all hot! :D

Or as we said in the military, a TDY 10! (a four and a sixpack) ;)
