That's the way I remember it too. I believe "safe harbor" was the "goal". So I guess we ended up on the rocks instead, met some Delta guys on the beach with a similar hole in their boat and went looking for a bunker where we had to enter numbers into an old computer to stop earthquakes.
Interesting times....it was a fast moving train and my mind has forgotten details as my life is now better. I guess my point is, it's like a big battle. Afterwards two guys will sit and argue who got shelled worse and who had to fight off more Huns. But, we're here, we're alive, and doing fine. I wish you guys would quit trying to walk me down memory lane....it wasn't that much fun the first time:D Your Uncle Ferd Well said! Tr |

Timbo and I are still around
I'm itching to hear the story behind that one. I remember hearing about a NW 747 classic captain just walking off the airplane on his retirement trip in SFO (so the story goes) years back because they bumped his wife off the plane. |

Hopefully at least one of you guys were egging that guy on in the other sim bay. Keep up the good work!

A less than stellar performance in the sim followed by a rash decision or so I've heard

Gettin old sucks, or so I'm told!
The reserve guys hardly ever fly, but they go to the sim every 90 days so they'll always do better in the sim, but not so much in the real world. The 777 will make you stupid, fast. Just ask the Asiana pilots! You rarely get to fly it, and when you do, it does everything for you, except fly a visual into SFO, but it'll even turn off the transponder when entering Chinese airspace, make a left turn, climb to 450, then descend below radar coverage, then it'll fly you to your retirement home on an island in the South Pacific. ;) There you'll be able to sell the airplane to the North Koreans and play hoops with Denis Rodman.:D |

It's actually quite hard to meet anyone from APC.
I call Razorback1, ugasucks, and two other that don't want to be "outed?" Friends. I meet FERD by chance the one and only time I flew into PHX a couple yrs ago. Pretty sure I just exchanged pleasantries with Bucking Bar while searching for electrical schematics on the M88 in the B concourse satellite lounge. I feel like I know Buzz, Carl, FTB and T, but could only pick one out of a line up! APC is a good little community of nit wits, brains, and jokesters....keep it up lady and gents. |
