Anybody know anything about a Delta/Atlas Air partnership???
Nope. What did you hear?
I don't know of anyone at Atlas who knows anything....but we found out yesterday that one of Delta's Chief Pilots (I think that was his position) is now the Atlas CP....and there have been several guys who have been commuting on DAL in the last week or so...when they checked in to get their boarding pass, the DAL kiosk said something like "Welcome to the new Delta, Atlas Air Partnership..." we don't know what that means and if it is connected to our new CP....

scheduling question

What are the limits of the rules that a short call pilot, or a long call pilot must be released at 1200 on their last on call day prior to a hard non fly day? More specifically can they assign you a trip that reports at 1300 as long as it gets you back by 2359? Or, since you are technically a long call pilot at 1159 on that last day, they can't give you that 1 day trip and must release you at 1200? If you're not sure of the answer, who should I ask?

If you are on short call and the next day is a golden x day, they can't give you anything that reports after 12. Otherwise, they can do what you described. 1-800-USA-ALPA is the best place for scheduling questions.

You can call Dalpa and/or take a look at the scheduling reference handbook on the Dalpa website. It has a lot of great info in it. It does need to be updated with the latest agreement.

I know what I think but don't want to preach it as gospel.

Denny

Edit: page 70 answers your long call question.

The only "rumor" I have heard about NBA charters is that if they don't pony up more money, they can go elsewhere for them. The airbusses that are configured will make more money with regular configuration and revenue service

You can always be flown up to the end of your last on-call day. If you are not flying at noon on that day, you are automatically released from duty at that time if the next day is a hard non-fly-day.

Call 800 USA-ALPA for more specific details.

Does anyone have a short list of JFK hotels for a FNG short-time commuter?

Thanks in advance

And added protections to guard against bravo sierra little technicalities like all cargo heavies "not counting" towards ESK's and all that. I also expect rock solid protections from other markets VA may end up doing one day besides just LHR or even the entire UK.

100% agreed

Its resolving itself, but only because of the decisions made by AS management. They could make different decisions anytime. I'd like our recent progress locked down in Section One and their ability to go back to the way it used to be eliminated and the code share needs to be constrained to where it is today at the absolute highest.

Our scope > AS management's latest round of decision making.

Again, I agree with you on this. I would like to see a one way check valve that rachets down the percentage of any flying done by a partner.. or something like that... but a percentage, not a block hour figure.
