Got a question for you guys. What is the protocol now for getting replaced by a guy doing OE? Do I still have to show up at sign in, or can the LCA release me a day prior or so? I was in the exact same situation where the sign in was early in the morning and crew scheds wasn't releasing you unitl 7pm the night before. I had called the LCA and he said I could be released because he had already contacted the pilot getting the IOE and he was already in position. The company and the union said that they had a verbal agreement to do the 7pm release the night prior.

Fast forward a couple of months and I had another IOE trip being bought, however the LCA wanted the FO that was being released to show up planeside and he would release him. He said that the FO was being paid anyway so he at least had to show up. This lead back to the last conversation about scheduling doing the releasing. The LCA wasn't happy but I was released. (just so you know we only had one LCA in NYC on the ER that wanted you to come planeside)

Any ipad air users out there? I figured out how to load the manuals from the fleet page by opening them, copying, then moving it to ibooks. The only one that I can't get to download is the FOM Pt.1. It will open after putting in the security password, and doing what I did with all the other manuals, it doesn't work. Any ideas?
