Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Yes, a) she didn't know who she was interviewing, b) any reputable network knows to vet interviews, especially "call ins," and, c), she was clueless as to time, place, circumstance, etc.
So, yes. She's an idiot.
Also new, I can't wait to have a beer with you and talk about our current executive. What a frikkin mess,

Also, I love the action in the airline stocks today. The algo's flash crash on the news until Skynet figured out it wasn't one of the USA's, then bounces back exactly to the market level. Unreal...are there any humans left in the market??
Here is the crux of the problem, YOU don't believe in democracy. If there is a vote that you disagree with, it is a flawed democracy, it can't be just that you were in the minority.
The MEC adopted the policy manual unanimously and that policy manual guided everyone's actions in the C2012 negotiations. At least fifty times you and others have been asked to quote the section of the policy manual that wasn't followed. You won't and you can't, because it was followed to the letter. The policy manual is not the way you want so therefore it is flawed because YOU don't believe in democracy.
The MEC had seven days to mull over the TA. You claim they were arm twisted and cajoled, but not you, you didn't fall for it. Wow, how special that makes you. In fact, there were many events planned for people to sit around and discuss the agreement openly and have a frank discussion. Instead of attending these, you and many others locked themselves away in your own little club. Maybe you expected them to read your mind about how you felt. When the vote comes out 2 to 1 against you, well it is a flawed vote and those who voted yes were either too stupid or too weak to stand up for themselves. In reality it is YOU that doesn't believe in democracy.
The pilots were given the full contract language and had at least a month to go through it. They could ask questions debate the issues, attend road shows, and make their decision. Again they voted 2 to 1 against you. Again it was because they were too stupid or too weak to stand up for themselves. YOU don't believe in democracy.
What you really want is to have some type of super delegate status where we don't really have a vote, we only get to count the votes that you agree with. You have never accepted our policy manual, the MEC rarely meets where you or one of your friends has not tried to change the policy manual and you still lose those votes. Once again the MEC is too stupid or too weak to do the right thing because YOU don't believe in democracy. Seriously, how many times do we have to have the same debate about electing committee chairman? I know that is the way you are used to, but do you have any data to show that your way produces better results? But hey, if you don't believe in democracy then the democratic vote doesn't mean anything. We should just keep voting until we get it right.
If you are going to claim the policy manual wasn't followed then at least you should quote the section that wasn't followed. I await with bated breath.
So I turn you statement right back on you. You didn't get the result you desire and therefore the democracy is flawed. By a two to one margin the Delta pilot group disagrees with you, but of course they are too stupid or too weak to make their own decisions.

Wow.
Quite the condescending...
...tonight Alfa.
Warms my heart to think you count your conceited and disdainful a$$ as an MEC insider, again, after your nifty coup d'état.

And there was no sales job filled with empty threats and lollipop projections.
You may still be under the delusion that you have 62% if the Delta pilots in the bag for a cost neutral C2015, but I beg to differ.
The massive rejection of the hidden CDOs in the FAR117 LOA prove the Delta pilots are awake and active.
C2015 will be historic or it will be rejected.
Randy is busy selling a 2017 downturn so we better accept tiny increases in pay, never mind what the line pilots have said over and over and over. Line pilots are just stupid. They don't think big thoughts like you and Randy and Buzz and Mike.
Management keep adding those annual double digit raises for themselves. At lest they respect their profession.
The Delta CFO racked up over a 70% gain in his compensation.
I'm sure you think he deserves it and we can eat cake.

Oh, boo, hoo, hoo. Coming from a guy who is too chicken to ever step up and actually take responsibility for negotiating a contract, your words are quite damaging to me. Standby for the self serving weak excuses as to why Carl is too scared to actually have to stand behind his keyboard puffery.

Once a contract reaches memrat, it's a bit too late, and the pilot has to vote on what's in front of them. Just because they vote yes, doesn't mean the contract isn't a failure of negotiations. The mindset of the yes vote, is perhaps because the pilot believes he can not receive a better deal by voting no, given the perceived weakness of the NC.

Is it theraputic for you to be this much of a jerk? Does it make you feel better to alienate the very people you claim to want to help?

Feeling a bit condescending-y tonight, eh?
I thought the deal was sub par to where it needed to be. I set standards to where I felt it should be, and it came in below in every area. It was not an emotional vote for me.
Just under half agreed with me and just over half felt it was good enough.
How's that?

2 times 37 is 62? Good math, alfa!
Look, I don't deny you the right to vote the way you did. You pay your dues and you get your vote. The problem is that the majority of pilots disagreed and now the forum crowd says it is not democratic. In other words, I get my vote, but your vote doesn't count because you voted differently from me. That is my problem. Can't people just say, "I lost the vote" and then move on instead of creating these phony conspiracies and lame plots about how democracy was thwarted.
Each pilot got to review the deal completely. They made their votes. Your vote counted just as much as mine did. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, move on. Claiming the rules were rigged afterwards doesn't do anyone any good. The rules were set by democratic vote in the first place. Apparently that's not good enough for some who lost the vote.

Be careful that your reroute pay doesn't disappear after the trip is "closed" on your time card. There's a supervisor in scheduling who audits reroute pay and will take it off your time card if he doesn't think your situation met the criteria.
As I understand it, our contract basically says that reroute pay doesn't apply if the situation is beyond the control of the company. Most of the time, they are rerouting you due to weather, mechanical, etc., which are both things that are beyond the control of the company. However, Jim in scheduling (the supervisor who does the audit) seems to use the criteria that, if they could have gotten you back to base another way (i.e. deadhead) then you qualify for reroute pay. I've had good success calling him when my reroute pay magically disappeared from my time card and, after pleading my case (which was basically that they COULD have gotten me home if they really wanted to), he put it back on.
Anyway, if that rotation is still showing "open" on your time card, the reroute pay could still disappear. If it shows "closed" and the reroute pay is still there, then you're golden.
Hope that helps.
