Welcome to SLC! Thought we would see 2014 hires on this bid in SLC....almost had some unfilled slots.

Every time... they get my hopes up, talk about wide body spots and finally upwards movement, and then...
BAM!!!!
Retire 74s, don't backfill more ER B than they said they would, don't backfill west coast spots that they posted openings above, so once again no goodness flows downhill in the west.

Such a bummer.

Looks like a lot of people that have been waiting got to move west on this one, though. That seems to be the best part about this "big" bid modified to be much smaller.

Management was remarkably transparent in their last quarterly earnings call. Pilots from Endeavor to Air France are part of a single transportation system. We are a niche. A large niche, but we risk no longer being the pilots of Delta airlines. We are but one group which does some Delta flying. Not really different than Endeavor. God knows I fought this.

As long as we use our scope to divide labor we will not see our pilot group grow, or prosper in the ways that we had envisioned. We must change our mindset and use scope to unify labor.
How did we all get brainwashed to the point where we are happy just to get 51% of the delta flying? Then, we can't even get that much.

Just curious. When we linked up with AF/KLM they flew a large number of flights across the pond as did Delta. By your 51 percent comment I assume you feel that AF/KLM should have stopped all international flights to the US and Delta assumed those flights. Do you feel that is achievable by Delta management or DALPA or both working together?

Only until the next AE, unless they offer them again and they again go unfilled.

Because when they use them above an average of 55 hours each (including all GS/IA flying), more pilots are required under the staffing formula.

It was a larger point. Delta used to fly all delta pax a long time ago. Now just flying half of all pax that have delta printed on their ticket is considered a win. We seem happy with that.
