Seeing 97x I immediately had to watch this classic scene from Rainman:

More stuff, too. That's the hilights.

I am not complaining, but 15 SEA 330 A's and no B's? weird...

Adding a over 12 flight and dropping a under 12 flight.

No. Those "union boys" think whatever Delta says is good for them is good for us. They've accepted bankruptcy as a reset and don't want to rock the boat. They fancy themselves as business savvy and sympathize with the bean counters. This makes management's job infinitely easier in convincing thousands of pilots to accept a drastically lower standard of compensation for our profession.

They do a great job for management's desire to keep costs as low as possible. But for the pilots who understand the true value of what we do and also understand how relatively insignificant our cost is in the grand scheme of things, they do a p*ss poor job.

I really think that some of them are just ignorant. Some are naive. Some are extremely compliant. Some have fooled themselves into thinking they know more about business than they actually know. And some are arguably playing for the wrong team.

I crunched the numbers as an '07 hire. Minimal raise from a greenslippin' ERB to a 5-leg/day 717A reserve. I'll stay with the European layovers and gelato, thanks.

Not the first 20. I bet there's some junior captains in other categories looking for some seniority... But who knows.. I'm not bidding it...seniority 8xxx

How about adding 70 ER FO's, but possibly not back filling any Captains in MSP & DTW, and not adding any captains anywhere else?

Strange. But, I guess I'm just happy to not be getting displaced -- for now.

My guess...adding more international and/or expecting lots of ER FOs to bid out to NB captain seats.

Schoolhouse ER DGS folks have been told to expect between 80-120 new hires in this category between now and early next year.
