Despite their hard work and sacrifice, should they not be held to account or called out when they mislead or misrepresent their constituents?

It is my understanding that at least one or more of the C44 reps misrepresented their positions to DAL MD88 Driver on at least one occasion. Does Driver forfeit the right to raise an issue with his reps' integrity if so warranted?
Absolutely not.

I should qualify my previous post as "my impression/opinion" of 88 Driver's position. He continuously runs their names through the mud...if it's warranted then fine, but imo he would be far more effective if he aired his dirty laundry with them directly, instead of smearing them on here.

If 88 wants to share with us how my reps mislead him, I would be more than interested to hear it - PM is fine. It's been my experience, after dealing with all 4 of them personally, that they are standup individuals.

If he has information to the contrary, then I'd like to know. However (and this was the genesis of my previous post) if he simply doesn't like the way things have played out, it doesn't mean that he was mislead. Additionally, he shouldn't be surprised if they are less than enthused to hear from him, after he frequently, and publicly, slams them.

I stand by my statement that if he can show me a better way I will absolutely vote for him next time around. It just isn't as simple as he (or any of us, really) wants it to be.

You were hired in Sep of 00 and your 1457 numbers apart? Delta did not even hire 1457 pilots between then and the merger.

I was hired in Feb of 2000 by NWA. A Delta pilot hired that same week is 1457 numbers senior to me on the combined list. I do not wish to revisit the merger, but don't marginalize it by just making up numbers. Delta may not have hired that many pilots, but apparently DAL+NWA did, it is a "combined" list now...

Yes but maybe combined both airlines did.

The thread stated a fall of 2000 hire. We stopped hiring in the spring of 01 do I knew that 1900 was impossible. I took a look. Fall 00 hires are about 900 numbers apart not 1900.

The DPA has been banging the scope drum for 4-ish years and it's almost down to 5? That's why you don't publish surveys. The DPA anger and the pilots response isn't in synch. Then again, it's just one man. Go Timmy go...

This sort of thing is my last remaining heartburn from the SLI. If Sailing, whom I regard as highly educated and in tune with all things Delta and DALPA, does not fully understand the results of the SLI, I guess I should more quickly excuse the DEEP ignorance of many of the line dog south pilots on this subject. Oh well. - rant over -

GJ-- if you search backwards in the thread using google, about 2-3 months I think, you'll find another conversation on mail order blades by hmm...
buzzpat. I tried to search him on blades, shaving, razor but didn't get a hit, however he and 2 or 3 other guys had a good talk on this... I almost started ordering them. My impression is that their supplier of choice sounded better than what you're talking about here. Maybe PM him.
