I guess the bucket system for reserves doesn't really matter anymore. The lastest crew scheds method, at least for ATL 320B, is to just put every reserve on short call every day.
What really bothered me about the CDO question, besides the fact it appears to be an MEC Admin inserted question is the specificity of the questions - they read like specific contract language as opposed to more broad goal objectives on the other questions. It's as if they are taking the very specific language that was shot down - by the majority of the MEC from the previous LOA - and asking what we would need to sharpshoot it to make it something you desire.
Everyone needs to pay attention to this - we are being setup, similar to the age 65 strategy, to have this included in the TA. What's more telling is, despite hard proof to the contrary - from the MEC Chairman himself - it is not due to an obscure LEC resolution that was defeated 7 months ago, nor due to the unscientific, self-selection biased survey by the DPA, that back channel scapegoating for CDO language in our TA has already begun

.1) Lots of effort went into making the questions as comprehensive and impartial as possible, but everybody will likely find one or more questions that they believe to be leading in a particular direction.
2) There was no desire on the part of the NC to have us answer a certain way. They just want to know what we think and what we want. There are a number of different directions that negotiations might go, and the more they know about what's preferable to us, the more closely they can match our desires.
3) Questions on profit sharing, CDOs, pay banding, etc. come from beliefs that these issues may be brought up in negotiations by the other side. Knowing ahead of time how we feel about them gives the MEC and NC data on how to respond.

Progression, it's a pay raise...right?

Why shouldn't they. There's nothing in the contract to prevent them from doing so. Let me guess, they're rarely if ever using them right? Our answer in the last contract was to raise the min number of SC's in high ALV months and raise the TLV to a point that makes it virtually nonexistent. Convenient.

Big order for big jets coming from Delta Air Lines
For the purposes of this article "Big Order" = 50 airplanes. Who knows when they will show up. Also, these could just be replacing the ones going away.

Experts: Using PB days, it was my understanding that in the past, upon getting a reg line, a pilot could use a banked PB day to drop a trip, and then pick it back up on the very same pcs run since drops run before pickups. (as long as no one senior had a blanket WS in and would get the newly dropped trip).
Is this still possible? Or did the rules change with an LOA awhile ago? The same LOA that changed "trip parking." If I did this on a noon PCS run, can I pick up the dropped trip at noon? Or do I have to wait till the 1700 run?

Boeing doesn't care about us at all. They are too buzy laundering US consumer and taxpayer money through ME middlemen due to intentionally failed energy policy and our leading role in providing a global police state. They benefit on both ends, they're loving every minute of it, and our little 50 plane order is a line item joke for them.
