I think we should take a 10% pay cut if the company promises they will buy 100 777s. We don't need any time frame, or any penalties if they don't do so. Just think of all the movement that will occur.... and since bigger pays more, it is a win win deal.
Last time, we gave up more large RJs - 325 total allowed. What was plan B anyways? All I know is "we didn't want to go there." Am I really to believe we [Delta] would have refurbished 50 seaters in lieu of purchasing the 717s?

Who knows? The question is whether or not you felt the gamble was worth the risk. It will turn out to be a moot point anyway as the regional model will implode right before our very eyes, so I couldn't care less about the "large RJs". They are not gonna have the manpower to staff them in the near future. I'm gonna enjoy the show. Will the company ask for more "large RJs" going forward? Doubtful.

If it were random. APC would likely be considered a biased sample with self-selection and some other statistical issues that I cannot remember.

Not at all. Plan B was to buy a smaller number of A319s that were coming off of a lease to Ryanair.

May I ask how you know that to be a fact?

And why wasn't that communicated during the C12 sales job?

APD questions: If a single day APD request is submitted that touches a multi-day trip, is the entire trip dropped? If so, does submitting the APD on the only day that has more reserves available than required improve the likelihood of getting the APD approved?
Disclaimer: not willing to attempt the differential equation in the Reserves Required section of the PWA.

It's been awhile but yes the entire trip is dropped. The APD will be approved if the available reserves are 25% or higher of required. I think.

Because it would have showed managements poker hand...which sounds like it was a pair of deuces going against a full house.
