Its disgusting what happened over there. I was in MKE the other day and saw all the "Midwest" replacement jets there after all the mainline pilots and planes were parked.

The sad thing is how ALPA isn't in a total uproar over this.
Just lay back and watch... "aw poopy, we'll honor you on your last flight."

Although the Midwest pilots' Reps voted for the changes to our union's merger and fragmentation policy that watered down its intent and voted against scope issues in the past. They ratified their Section 1. I feel badly for those guys, but their leadership sowed the seeds that grew into outsourcing their entire flippin' airline. Are they responsible for what happened to them? ... sorry, but yeah, sort of.
We need to take a very cautionary lesson from this example, but we (just like they did) believe that we can outsource some of our jobs and keep it under control.

Please provide proof of your allegations about the voting of Midwest Pilots sir, let me save you some time, you can not. How can you make such bold statements, when you have no proof?

I refer you to your vote at the 2000 Board of Director's meeting when your airline voted with us. I'll do some digging and PM you the other votes so you may identify them with specificity rather than tie up this Delta thread with a debate on MidWest's voting and scope negotiations.
Just as our own scope failures and furloughs are an uncomfortable example, Midwest's example serves to caution our pilots because we also outsource flying which could have a similar result.
I'm deeply saddened by what happened to the MidWest pilots and respect their professionalism in adversity. The MidWest pilots have my support. But my support means little unless some good comes from efforts to fight the outsourcing in our profession.
