Anyone else hear the rumor that we're not only not retiring the 757s at the rate they mentioned but we're also looking for 75's in the used market?
Wait, what? |

Hey it is almost Christmas! Heard it from someone who should know that we were looking and that the 737-900s weren't doing quite the job the company wanted. Maybe it's just what I wanted to hear.

Agreed, because there are more Euros being counted in the mix. At this point, we've neither added nor lost any flying. This is where we diverge. Our percentage share of this JV's EASK's was around 47% when Alitalia was first added to the mix, making their share 53%, and it remains there today. While we are contractually entitled to more, we were never actually there, so we've not actually decreased. No one is spinning or apologizing or saying that we've suffered no harm. We are contractually entitled to 48.5% of the total flying, and we've only received around 47%. That is real harm for which we must be compensated. All I'm saying that this flying is additional flying that due to us -- not flying that we once had that was taken away. What I'll never understand is why people like you, Sailingfun and DALPA spread the falsehood that we've never actually lost something that we once had. Even if it were true, it does nothing but bolster management's defense in a grievance hearing. I'll never get what people like you think you're doing to help Delta pilots by doing this. Like Sailingfun, you have the floor Alan. Carl |

Question for those that have done the tablet training...
In the content locker, the training CD shows a method to open the same manual twice, having 2 separate pages of the same manual open on different tabs. I screwed around with that for several minutes and never could get it to work. Every time I "opened" a manual that was already open in a tab, it just took me back to the tab/page where I was. Anyone else figured this out? The example they were using was critical terrain routes where it would be nice to have the graphic and text on two different tabs to switch back and forth easily. |

Must-know: Delta's fleet restructuring and capacity growth plans - Market Realist About half way down. I was surprised. |

A causal read of NTSB reports from the railroad industry will tell you what you want to know, Alan.
