Those will work for a 12+ hr. call out... And a call from the union and Cpo.

We have a 5:15 per flight duty period also so it does matter as long as a duty period isn't deadhead only.

As a commuter, I'll bid commutable 5 days exclusively. You're right, if they aren't commutable I'd prefer (and will bid) something that is.

I would think it would be easier to build commutable 5 days than 3 or 4 days. Another day to build up the block to avoid credit.

Some people love them.... most seem to hate them, but those that do really like them. Might as well have a sprinkling in each category variable with user request in the rotation surveys.

day and 2-day trips for me, please.
Obviously, you're not a commuter. I've been given 1 and 2 days to get into the LCW. Always PD them on the 20th. Now I just use the avoid <4 feature. One man's trash... (OK, post Jennifer Aniston pic - don't know how)

We've beat this dead horse a few times now.

1. You will end up with closer to 30% of your trips as 5-days. SLC for Jan has 35%. DTW has 44%.

2. About half of them will be commutable, those are OK. The other half will be non-commutable, those are absolutely ridiculous.

3. The non-commutable ones should have a fatigue management guide pop up in I-crew when you sign in.

Book through deltanet perks or whatever it's called now. Interline. They will ask for a copy of your id. Stay on the resort. Use the delta version of the Disney room booking website to pick what resort you want to stay at. Best and cheapest place to stay with kids. Very easy when you are on the resort.

I don't have time to look it up but I think we gave that up with the switch to a 5:15 daily average.

3 five day trips a month equals 12 nights away from home. 8 two day trips equals 8 nights away from home. I am a commuter myself but we should not have catered to the commuting crowd when we had a chance to eliminate these.

How? Contractually? What are you willing to give up for that
